Acadiana Regional Development District approaches its mission through an array of programs and projects. The mix of activities changes from year to year depending upon community needs, but all projects and programs strive to foster a proactive regional planning process that will help create jobs, support a stable and diversified regional economy, and improve living conditions and prosperity for residents throughout the region.

Assisting communities and/or organizations secure resources and mobilize a coordinated response to regional opportunities and challenges.
Facilitates the transfer of ideas, information and skills that can enhance the ability of community leaders to work in a regional environment.
Working with communities to pursue public policy initiatives relating to the governance of shared systems and resources
